Unless it is an emergency, expect a response later in the day. While trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems, the doctors also specialize in treating common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system, and reproductive organs. The physicians teach internal medicine resident physicians, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable clinical skills while providing care to patients.
