Kevin Wissman, PharmD, BCPS
Kevin Wissman PharmD, BCPS grew up on a farm in western Kansas. After playing football for the Wildcats and earning a Psychology degree from Kansas State University, he completed his pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas. He then completed a two year pharmacy residency and two year faculty development fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Wissman joined the Department of Internal Medicine at KU School of Medicine-Wichita as a faculty member in 2021. Two and a half years later, his family relocated to the Colorado Rocky Mountains where he is a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner for the Eastern Colorado Veteran Affairs Health System.
Dr. Wissman enjoyed working with the Functional Medicine providers and patients that he continues to practice in a consultative role via telehealth visits. As a clinical pharmacist, he manages drug information consults. Additionally he helps optimize patient’s medication regimens by conducting 1-on-1 comprehensive medication management visits. His most enjoyable part of his job is deprescribing medications by identifying medications that may be causing side effects, drug interactions, or worsening other medical conditions you are experiencing.
